I hate to be the harbringer of doom but at this point last year my body was already warn out from daily 20kt plus seabreezes.

It is now mid November and I have had just one decent 7m session at Scarbs so far, and couple of piss weak sessions.

The BOM say that we are in developing 'El Nino' pattern. Have you noticed that there are low pressure troughs hanging off the West Coast almost constantly?
I went to Gnaraloo and the trough was so deep it rained!

What to do? Move to Queensland? I have heard El Nino brings dry weather and wind to the East coast.

Any amateur meteorologists out there got a better outlook.

I blame daylight savings.

just be happy for others that are having a good start to the season... although this weeks looking a little crapola

Ha ha suckers ....regular seabreezes and southerlies have returned to this part of the east coast at least, after two sh1thouse summers of la nina high humidity and crappola winds

In Geraldton we have only missed 2 or 3 days kiting... in the last 2 weeks or something like that. Bent would have had a hack at it every day

I dunno about WA, but the the Sydney season sure is terrible...

It's certainly not firing here in Melbourne either - its hot enough that's for sure - bring on the cool change on Saturday!

I can't complain, managed 18 kitable days last month and missed a couple of seshes due "Girlfriend Appreciation Days".

Niall, Ive had 3 excellent sessions on new NEW 6m Rebel and a good 10-12 sessions on my NEW 9m Rebel, I was starting to get burnt out until this current trough. Maybe mate you have been slipping out of work and back home to watch the 5pm nightly news in your slippers, and not sneeking down to Scabs for a session.

I recommend no one gets a NEW 12m Rebel otherwise my last 10 x 10 to 15knot sessions may not have been so lonely. Few kiters hit it now on Low wind dayzzzzzzzzzzzz in Perth, what a dream come true .....

And Merry Chrissy to all the Perth kiters, have a GREAT one.

P.S. Obviosusly I'm on a buzz with new equipment, the first in 2 seasons. Also got a new surfboard 6-6 x 19 3/4 x 2 5/8 Alternator Firewire.... for light winds - superrrrrrrrrrrrr fun.

Oh woe and despair.

Hey Lach I am in Merimbula.

To start with alot of our nor easters were poxing out and going nor west or getting troughed out. So they have been hot, gusty and into the bargain nearly totally flat.

There have only been a couple of sou easters and none with any real waves.

Usually November we could kite nearly every day and we would have had at least one cranking sou easter with good swell.

Maybe Huey is saving them up for Mambo!
