I was there at xmas time, a S and even SW blows off shore in the bay (in town), I think you need to go south to ride the S SW winds, in now fact I prefer Cervanties.

I and a group kited there a few weeks ago.

As Slack said the wind was offshore and very strong on the town side but flat. Stunning scenery though. So we followed the beach round to a small harbour to get more cross-onshore winds (you have to drive round the back of the harbour to the marine control/rescue building). Good wind direction here with a short walk from the end of the road to the beach (4WD access though) Choppy as hell though but a nice long quiet beach. However a local told us afterward the place to go might have been on the town side but keep going round as there was another bay further on?
To be honest I didn't think it was a top spot for kiting but it was the first time we had been there.
