yeah got too agree with hi flyer..

whats this obsession with dre, its coming to the point where the magazine is getting very boring, through a lack of coverage on other riders. I would personally like to see more on riders like hadlow lenton , l'hote, aregano. This are the guys pushing it but its as if they dont exist. maybe if they put a pair of bindings on they might get some coverage. It would also be nice to see a bit more on top aussie riders ie rat, stenning, anderson, gordon , zebb. Its an aussie magazine so why dont you expose these riders a bit more, they are all killing it and deserve the exposure.

Also I dont understand the polls, whats the deal with KBV claiming cam barker to be potentially the best rider in the world with more talent than anyone with the exception of you gueesing it DRE. No doubt he is an outstanding rider for his age. But on a world scale he isnt that good, he only scraped into the top 10 in this years nationals. Surely if he was as good as KBM make out he would have won hands down,but again the same 4 or 5 who dont get that much coverage came through and ruled and put on an awesome display of modern freestyle riding.

I got no issue with the jokes and the pictures, they add character. Although the ammount of advertising is increasing a lot and the ammount of pictures decreasing. I understand advertising helps fund the mag and every magazine has it. On estimate the latest issue has 33 full page adverts out of 90 pages. It's good to see young riders like cam and stylish riders like dre on a regular basis, by no means stop. It would just be good if more riders got exposure. In my opinion your best issue was the sequence one, heaps of pics and in the end of the day thats what most people want to see.

Correct me if I am wrong... but is this not a kitesurfing forum? A means by which people are able receive other peoples opinion as well as provide their own. KBM could very well use this particular thread to gauge feedback from readers to see what to focus more on in future editions of their magazine.

I certainly agree with Symmetric in that you can't cater for all demographics.... but as for the "old coots" and the dildos and poor jokes being too naughty for us.... get some time up, I'm pretty sure it would take more than that to make us "old coots" blush, and if thats what takes your fancy... go and buy a stick mag... or get your older brother to buy one for ya!

As for the baby jokes, vommit etc.... If you like it... that's cool... It was just of my opinion that it was scraping the bottom of the barrel with regards to good reading.

It is possible to provide positive feedback as well as the negative! It's a pretty good mag and will continue to buy it.

Im just saying the kid in this last issue seemed to be pretty shlt and he just got in there cos he happens to ride in some special spot and shook dre's hand.. He aint doin no mobes and shlt his fav move is an indy grab or some gay shlt like that. and his 'smashed it' move is a backroll for ****s sake...

yeah the guy in last issue deserved it, Keahi.
and yeah Happy you kick it. but your one had shlt all in there that was worth reading.

also if you go back and read everyones posts over the last few months about kbm... i took wat the oldies on SB said about the only guys who are in there... made a checklist and i happen to do the shlt on that list.....

thats why i put the gap thing in the CLAIM part... im gonna try...
ill be out there at tannum tho... watch for yourself...

anyone can do kiteloops you fag, only a few can do em properly. im not claiming them cos i find them a waste of time

some of you need to kite more and bitch and moan less, constructive comments and ideas are great in forums but just plain whinging and bitching does not help KBM improve, it really just shows that some of you are bitter that you dont have confidence or the drive to improve yourself or get off your butt and do something for yourself.

I don't buy KBM any more; the bitching and moaning about it here is far more entertaining. Already we've got two pages of text here from a multitude of different kiters which, IMHO, far out-weighs the editorial input and content of KBM... even the spelling is usually better here.

As for being “bitter”… suck me ran! You’ll find me quite sweet. But you’ll have to do it quickly; I’m far too full of myself and busy to sit around reading magazines that aren’t up to my high standards and expectations.

Not entirely sure where you are going with this buster. You have within one paragraph managed to contradict yourself; providing absolutely nothing with regards to the contructive comments and ideas you make reference to. I find it very ironic that you suggest some of us within this kitesurfing forum don't have the confidence or drive to improve ourselves ... a sport which I have found requires a great deal of both the aforementioned qualities, not to mention removing our 'butts' from the sofa!

If I didn't know any better, I would have thought you were winding us up!

hmm, was going to bite, but whatever, yer im playin a bit here, but this was not directed at anyone specific, if you read it and felt insulted then it applies to you, if you read it and went "whatever" then it doesnt. i dont see the contradiction, but anyway I do see the irony. oh azza if i was that way inclined (i did check to see if you were male or female) id consider the offer, instead next time im in my home town of Melb how about we just have a beer mate.

I think this thread is extremely valuable to KBM if they want to make their magazine better (which of course they do) - a lot of very different people are expressing their views about what they didn't like, what they want to see more of, and what they did like. People have been very specific about how it can be improved, too. Why stifle that by saying that people shouldn't express their concerns about the state of something which they are obviously passionate about? These are KBM's customers speaking. I'm sure an on-the-ball magazine publisher would want to hear this kind of specific criticism from their readers - telling people to keep quiet if they don't like it is the worst thing for KBM's sake.

I just order the mag for the dvd, its cheaper than paying $50 for 1 dvd and you usually get to see the clips of aussie dudes ripping it up.... im sure bill's looking for new vids to put on there and if you send something in thats entertaining im sure it would go on there. I havn't seen any other kiting mags doing the dvd thing yet. good job!

ha ha, funny stuff, ego, lol, mate i dont see making a broad statment as whinging etc, yes it is directed at people i have not met, but it is based on the responses in this thread. As i stated its not directed at everyone, those that take offense maybe suffer from such qualities and feel threatened when confronted. lol look we could go back and forth here, i must say i will refrain from commenting, which im sure your fragil disposition will applaud. lol Anyway,constructive discussion is one thing, and this thread lacks that for the most part,( suppose im including myself in that) oh **** i just cant stop, lol, (slaps face) ok i love you all, peace love and harmony, etc etc, see ya all on the water, youll know which one i am ill have the big halo, lol stop it!!!
