Some of the KITESTOCK Team are now in Dongara finalising the event, so we'll be bringing you all the latest weather and conditions throughout the week to get you pumped.
Whilst sitting in the Southerly (tavern) last night, watching the sun go down, eating the most enourmous local oysters that we'd ever seen, we asked some of locals how they'd describe South Beach. Here is what they had to say:
"A beautiful beach with crystal clear water and a wide, gently, shelving, white shoreline stretching South to the horizon."
Yesterday the wind was a perfect 18-20 knots with a decent sized swell coming through with the beach breaks throwing up some great shoulder high waves. Whilst further along the protected areas remained super smooth awaiting the arrival of the trick brigade.
Today the wind came in about 11am picking up to a solid 20 knots by 1pm! Why I am sitting here typing this when I should be kiting I don't know!
Surf beach had some small, but perfectly formed 3-4 footers in nice regular sets this morning, so bring those surfbaords.
The local community are very excited by KITESTOCK coming to town, there's quite a buzz here already!
