Who's going to kiting today in and around Perth??? If so, where??? I'm thinking of heading to Lano or Safety Bay but am solo at the moment....anybody else interested???
well the sun is out now and i am stoked!!! I'm hoping i can ride my 9m, but the 7m might have to make an apperanace. I know the river is going to be horrible and i think safety bay will be te only place there is any flat water.
Although, the ramps down at Cott are looking pretty nice right now.....what to do...
Just got back from shoalwater, 3 windsurfers going out as I came in. little gusty but the 10M handled it OK... I couldn't believe it not another kite in the sky at such a good location. Good session and now home for the footy, it's a hard life.
I just got back. Wish you had posted sooner, agree totally, very gusty. Just getting lifted out of the water and then the kite falls out of the sky. Can't say I enjoyed it but I did learn from it.
I might have Monday/Tuesday off work any suggestions on where I could kite in weather like this or should I just pack the kite away.
Slack, if you're not and advanced rider I'd advise keeping the kite in the bag on days when storm fronts come through - even on the ocean it's pretty gusty and the wind can very quickly increase without warning - this has killed people in the past!
If you're still learning, then in winter its best to go out on the nice sunny days - you just need a big kite because in winter clear skies usually mean light winds
i'm just going down to my local beach in quinns, should be a bit of fun in that chop
