there was a post some time ago with a different idea (i think) that sounded a lot closer to production than this and sounded a bit smarter than kites tied to a toppled over fairis wheel (spelling)

What a frikkin whacked out idea. How the fluck do they intend of getting all those kites to fly? What happens when the wind drops and one of them falls out of the sky? Control would be a total nightmare. This looks like the type of idea that somebody who has never flown a kite before would think up.

Sorry to be negative but that idea looks so far from being a practical suggestion that I can't help but laugh.

Good luck to them though. I hope they prove me wrong and make a million dollars each.

I would never do it because U would probly have to use BOW kites so that they fully depower on the way back so that the generator keeps moving in one diection.
