My girlfriend's interested in getting into kiting (sick of sitting on the beach watching). I need a good kite that isn't going to scare her away. Was thinking of a CB2, SB2, rebel or boxer sle. I'd prefer not to buy a new 08 kite as there's a chance she'll loose interest. Has anyone tried any of these kites or got any recomendations?

I learnt on the Boxer SLE. Its a nice kite, super easy to relaunch, and good depower on 2:1 bar setting. It might have a bit too much bar pressure though. I havent used any of the other kites.

I don't really know **** from clay when it comes to gear but I had a lesson at the end of last summer and have been learning through winter on a 9m waroo without any trouble. Awesome kite! You could pick up an '06 pretty cheap.

Pretty much any recent bow kite should be fine. I learnt on a cb2. But whatever looks in good nick, and has a good price and it should go good.
I wouldnt overlook other types of kite as well. I have had no experience on anythng ither than a bow kite, but they all have their pros and cons, look into what she would like and go from there.

hi,could help to post more details perhaps?

Bust size is probably the most important and an image to prove it.

i know of a 19 meter 04 c kite for sale... is she over 120 kgs?

what are you riding? (apart from her) .. lol, get a smaller size kite of same brand for her so you could use when its too hardcore and breaks a nail or something!

one of the bows will do though - i hear some chicks like kites that easy relaunch, in anycase anything that wont spank her, even if she does she like that in the bedroom.... Giggity giggity giggity ...Alll riiight!

I tried to get a kite for my girlfriend but the trade-in on girlfriends are pretty bad and I virtually had to pay full retail. Not sure if I'd have better luck with my wife.

I've seen photos of your wife Saffer, I'll give you my 10m Airush Lift for her. I haven't spoken to her though, does she have the saffer accent too? If so you can either send her without the vocal cords or send me $500 bucks on top for a sweetener.

Lift doesn't do it for me, i can't get a $100 for a C kite these days. She has duel airbags, that must be worth at least a bow kite

If you are trying to get a kite for your girlfriend make sure there are no strings attached and there are no leaks in her bladder. Also helps if you throw in your bar.

Get her a kite that you like! At least that way if she doen't take it up you've got a heavy wind kite. Unless she's like Saffa's Girl and then you'll have a good light wind kite.

ahh mate mate mate....

Just get a girlfriend who already kites, has her own gear, and u can both just get out there, instead of u having to seem like u care about her and watch her kite WHILE you're kiting...

=or=

you could just ditch the girl and kite to ur hearts content!

=or=

succumb to teaching her

Good luck mate - u might need it

HEY TO THE OWNERS OF HIVE SWIM WEAR I RECKON YOU SHOULD FIND A NEW CHICK TO SPONSOR BECAUSE THE ONE YOU HAVE SEEMS LIKE SHE HAS REAL ATTITUDE ITS A PITY SOMEONE GAVE YOU THE TIME OF DAY TO GET YOU OUT THERE ON THE WATER AND LEARN HOW TO KITE OR HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THAT OR MAYBE YOU WERE AN EXPERT FROM DAY ONE. GUYS ENCOURAGE YOUR GIRLFRIENDS TO GET OUT THERE.

lol oh Michel

Seems like you've taken what I said totally the wwrrrooonnnggg way!

It was supposed to be taken as Rosy took it!!!

A 'typical MALE joke' mainly for the blokes in here - i gather most could have related to it!!!
##I need to include on the bottom of my replies *For woman who cannot take jokes, please disregard what is being said##

haha sorry you feel that way.

Im a tad confused. I never said I was or am an expert, and have never said that!? Don't know where you're comment came from!

The more girls the better in kiting and in wakeboarding! I'm the one whos always trying to encourage it and get my mates girls out there! So far I've been pretty successful and pleased with the increase in girls.

Sorry you were offended. lol

Dude, i think your capslock key is stuck. I have an old keyboard you can have? i will even remove the capslock key free of charge before i send it to you.

And on the topic, most girls have waaaaaay better kite technique than blokes do and it goes without saying that they have much better form.

I might be right out of touch as a fifty plus year old male who doesn't kite but I reckon Childsy's girlfriend ought to give him the flick. Anyone daft enough to take their girlfriend/wife/lover to the beach while they go off kitesurfing-surfing-windsurfing-sailing-sinking tinnies with their mates doesn't deserve the time of day. And anyone who thinks their girlfriend/wife/lover is not capable of researching their own leasure activity, even if a shared activity, deserves the flick.
