Hey I´m from Denmark and I am going to Cairns in september and I have no ideas what to think of if you kite surf there.

Are there many sharks and should you be aware?
What about jellyfish ?
Is there any good kite spots and is there wind in September/October?

If there is any kiters who know I would like to know :)

Head up to Port Douglas, great place to kite. No need to worry about crocs or jellyfish at this time of year. Sharks are present year round but don't cause any drama.
Try Windswell at Port Douglas for more info.......

Hey wulff I live in Port Douglas. I've been swimming and kitesurfing for a while off the beach and I havn't seen any sharks. Also, jelly fish arn't around in Sep/Oct. I've seen more turtles than sharks and crocs put togeather.

the water temp in winter is about as warm or warmer than a balmy danish summers day.

Pick up a cheap 2nd hand wakeboard too. Cairns has a cable park.
