I am interested in hearing from any level 2 IKO instructors or above who provide one-on-one kiteboarding instruction in Brisbane or the Gold Coast. I could also travel to the Sunshine Coast for a full day's lesson. I am competent at riding upwind and basic turns but don't have basic beginner skills such as body dragging upwind, emergency landing, self-rescue, small jumps, riding toe-side etc. I would like to try some of the new bow/SLE 2008 kites at the same time because I still need to buy a 10-12m kite for this season. I am on holidays until mid-January but are interested in ongoing lessons throughout the year. I would like to book with someone who can set dates for the lessons in advance (wind permitting) rather than being put on a waiting list.
Contact Kitesurf Gold Coast, they have several level 2 IKO instructors who have extensive experience along with a range of Bow/SLE kites for you to try. They take bookings for set dates and call you in the morning to confirm the wind and weather conditions, then you meet at the Kitesurf Gold Coast Training, Test & Retail IKO Centre located at 74 Marine Parade, Southport. Which is across from the designated Kitesurf learning area in the Broadwater. Call 0405 197 870 or 07 5532 4835 or check out www.kitesurfgoldcoast.com PM us for any further details.
