I'm just doing a little research here. Would it be fair to say that worldwide the kiteboarding community is now bigger then the wakeboarding community?

Anyone have any clues on numbers? Also stats on the growth of kiteboarding since it began would be cool.

Wake boarding community as way bigger, specially world wide maybe 5 million wake boardes in usa in comparison to 5 hundred thousand kiters in the usa.
I don't know aussie figures but I know wake boarding is alot bigger probably same proportion

That's scary, because the day I started kiting is the day I gave up wakeboarding.

Kiting is way better. Don't know if I would think that if there were 10 times more kiters though.

I have gotten into wakeboarding after kite boarding and I am loving my wake boarding..

Keep the figures down on the kiters please, we don't want those sort of numbers on our beaches...
I find it hard to swallow the 500,000 kiters in USA line though!

lol. wakeboarding is always going to be wayyyy bigger as there is just so many lakes in the USA and so many rich people. i wouldnt mind knowing the number of skateboarders worldwide i think that would be massive.
