Forget about the kitesurfing race to Rotto.
That just sounds like a kitemare to organize.
And an epic rescue when the sea gets cruel.
Getting top billing on the 6 o'clock news is overrated.

How about some kitecross race events this summer ?
I guess that's WAKSA business.
Slave's just planting the seed.

Footnote on Kitecross:
Short course kiting races.
Max 4 racers in a heat.
Race around buoys and jump inflateable hurdles.
Good spectator value and potential for carnage.

Coming from a sailing background I can see this would be an awesome idea and would definetly improve your skills. Would be interested in watching an event or seeing plans for one. As stated before I'm sure something could be organized with one of the sailing clubs(have contacts at Hillary's) if bouys are needed,
Thanks
Matt

Hi Waveslave,
Kitecross is one of the events WAKSA has planned in the 'and heaps of others' category if interest and time permit. (I'd personally like to see it happen), yet WAKSA's priority is to run events that will appeal to the majority of members and as you are aware, there are already a lot of weekends booked with events!
If the demand is there, and members put up their hands to help organise it, WAKSA will do their best to get it happening.
