Hi Guys

I just landed here in Perth from Denmark, so I am not that know around town and the beaches yet. I brought my kite gear and hopefully I can spend a lot of time surfing in the next couple of weeks.

But where do you usually go out kiting around Perth? Could you please provide a couple spots that you normally go to, then I will be joining you gladly ;-)

I couldn’t find any kites this morning on the coastline between “Scarborough” and “Frementle” – or is it more normal to surf at the end of the day because of the thermal wind conditions? Or is it just not the right spot?

Thanks in advance

Cheers
John

G'day mate, welcome to WA.
Go down to Brighton beach (just a bit south of Scarborough Beach) now and you will surely find kites.
The seabreeze usually kicks in some time in the afternoon, and once work is over you will find plenty of kites after about 4pm.
Scarborugh / Brighton is good for some waves, Pinaroo Point (15 minute drive north of Scarborough and just past the Hillary's boat harbour) is good for some smoother water. See ou out there !!!

Go now (4.30 pm).....Its 20+ kts out there.

At this time of year its afternoon/evening kiting when the seabreeze is in. Looks like everyday for the next will be on - more or less.

Drive up to Scarborough or SOUTH Cottesloe or Leighton beach and you will see the kites.
