Byron Bay! Now you're talking. Do you have much experience with seasonal winds at Byron B? If so give us a full run down please!

my trip to byron was supposed to be more of a surfing holiday but i took my kite gear as a backup. i couldn't believe it when the wind starting blowing the first night i was there and didn't let up for the next 4-5 days (day and night). unfortuneately that was it for the next 5 days as a slow moving low stuffed things up wind wise but at least the swell came up and "the pass" started going off

there was only ever one other local kiter out at the pass. he says oct and nov are usually like this. that is NNE for days at a time which is side shore out at the pass. heading out i was flicking around to toe side which put my on a natural foot stance and riding waves 3 to 400 metres down the line. heaven on 4 strings!!! wish i had taken my 10m kite as by noon the wind was usually up around 25knts or more.
there's also good locations for southerlies like flat rock just south of lennox, probably even tallow beach just on the other side of the cape.
