Here is the scenario:

I have a family holiday coming around 20th December for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately I cant go to some isolated island paradise with trade winds. I have to go somewhere that caters to everyone else as well as my kite addiction.

Suggestions from the family so far have included Fiji and Bali. Thoughts? Where would you go?

Noumea could work as well, but its expensive and I got skunked when I went.

Hey Sci,

I think you'll find that December is the sultry hot windless season for tropical islands in the southern hemisphere.

you wont get better wind that here in WA. Maybe Margaret River? Then at least you have main break, Augusta, Hamelin Bay, Boat ramps, Boranup etc.

Thats almost cruel leaving WA in peak windy season to visit another place with less wind.

Good luck with it,
