I've been.
Take spares as you will struggle to get repairs.
Sanur is the spot usually but watch out for the sea urchins and don't be too keen to get out if it's low tide as the urchins can really hurt you and your kite

Kuta/Legian might be good occasionally but rarely. Wind seems to be other side of the island

June/July/August is the time with the last few seasons being a little later than usual.Last year had every day with the lightest day being 14 knots, best day 22knots. Wind is in when you wake up and thestrength will stay all day. Check the tides as everywhere goes dry. The wind is hot so not as dense as in most parts of australia Nusa Dua and Sanur are great and cater for all types of riders, however are very onshore. the sandy lagoons are long and wide so flat water is on the go with waves out the back. Changu??sp. is the spot for experienced riders with awesome cross/offshore and gnarly, sharp reef BUT youll get some of the best waves of your life. Check out for the set up all along Nusa Dua.www.seabreeze.com.au/gallery/gallery.asp?imageid=3147
