The Cooks are great for kiting and it's growing in popularity with plenty of the locals joining in the fun.

The easiest accessible spot is the lagoon in the South East of main Island Rarotonga. In winter winds are predominantly East / South East

It can be a bit tricky to launch with high tide but with waist deep water 200 meters out it is easy to launch of the water.

There's a few Islands in the lagoon and you do not want to get stuck behind them.

r good site is Aitutaki with more consistent and stronger winds than the main Island. You'll need to take a connecting flight from Rarotonga.

I'm there beginning of August for 2 weeks, looks like its becoming a popular destination for the crew....

There for 2 1/2 weeks in August.....Can't wait!! Place I am staying on Aitutaki has a boat and can organise drop offs, or wakeboarding if no wind. PM me if your heading over same time, be good to get a crew to share the boat..bring the $$ down

Best months? Is Nov/Dec too late?

Iam heading over to the Cooks between the 4th - 11th August, man am I keeping my fingers crossed for good winds, will be staying at Rara for the first 5 days then Aitutaki for the last 4 days.
I hope its easy to get around the Island with your gear. All I can say is yeeeeeeee haaaaaaaa bring it on.
