Hi,

I lost sight of my Cabrinha Prodigy kiteboard after a stupid crash off Pinaroo point today.

I was a reasonable distance off-shore. With a bit of luck it may hit the beach before Ocean Reef.

If you find it, please send me an email.

In the meantime, the lessons I've learnt are:

- Get a leash (retracteable one sounds good).
- Write your contact details on the board. That way an honest finder knows what to do with it.

I will post notices at a couple of places down wind from Pinaroo. If anybody has any suggestions for other places to advertise the lost board, please let me know.

Merry Christmas to all.

Jan

no offence but i would encourage people to use a leash. more dangerous than useful. they also get in the way and break fairly often. if u use one thats cool but i have seen em flick back at people so just be cautious of em. hope u find ya board.

Different question re the lost board. Anybody know the law? I plan to scour the Cash Converters up the coast over the Christmas break. If I did find it - and can prove the serial number, do they have to give it back????

Two more sleeps till Santa comes....

I think the law says if you find something of value you have to first take it to the police and they hold if to something like six weeks. If no one claims it after that it's yours. Otherwise you can take it back if you can prove ownership. That's what the police here in NSW say anyway.
