does anyone know of good landboarding spots in NSW max 3hrs drive from Sydney. There's limited options in Sydney and I'll be damned if light winds are gonna stop me kiting over winter!
Cheers

Do you mean Kite landboarding or downhill mountainboarding?
For kite landboarding there are lots of places same with gravity boarding.

Within three hrs of syndey you have stockton/birubi. Works best in a S or SE but with very low tides you can get decent runs (for freestyle) in other wind directions. When it is SE you can go for KMs without stopping or turning!!! At the south end of the beach there is a huge park too, this would work in a lot of wind directions (not sure which are best as I have not boarded there).

You can hit lake george near canberra. In the middle it doesn't really matter what direction the wind is blowing. Again, here you can go for KMs in any direction. If there has not been rain in months the surface can get a bit too dry and soft. It is ok if you are light, if not then you need bigger tyres. Buggying on Lake George is sweet too, super high speeds are possible, some of the canberra buggiers hit 70 - 80kph regularly.

Other than that there are plenty of parks around Metro sydney. Expect gusty winds and pad up... the earth is hard!

Drop me a PM or email if you are going to head out landboarding.

cheers
