Hi all,

Just started to learn how to jump. Had a couple of good days in a row now but whats the story with the ABS.

I thought my core was fairly strong but my ABS feels like ive been ripped in half. Is that because of bad technique or just not used to it.

Relating to a previous post. I have been using a seat harness until now with no problems. After the last few days feels like I need to be getting a fertility test done!

I guess for you fashion conscious kiters borrowing the girlfriends pads for more protection wouldn't be advisable....

Winds coming up.. ciao

I had bad abs last year too. Really bad, so I couldn'teven jump anymore at the end of a session.

I think it's cos when you jump you're effectively lifting your legs and holding them up, which is all done with your stomach.

I did lotsa sit ups in winter and haven't had a problem at all this year, and I'm jumping way more than I did last year.

It probably has a bit to do with technique too i'd say. When you leave the water cleaner and faster, you don't seem to have to worry as much about lifting your legs.

Dont try to pull you legs up directly after takeoff as youll be lifting 3-4 times the leg weight. bend your knees more at the apex of the jump to minimize the G's
