I'm trying to find a low stretch, thin diameter (line like a Dacron braid?) to spool onto a gadget to help me launch my boat. I need a breaking strain of at least about 30kg. As a poley, I don't know what you guys use for your kite control lines but I suspect that kite lines might do the trick.

Can anyone tell me roughly what diameter/breaking strain lines are available for kites. Given the application, I'm not looking for anything pricey.

Thanks

Try going to Bias boating or a similar boat or yatching shop, i bought spectra line from them which was the same diameter as kite line but twice the breaking strain and a third of the price per meter. You can buy it by the meter so get only what you need.
