I havent tryed bindings on that board But i do like the Slingshot PB floyds. They have a lot of flex and make it easyer to do grabs, no metal parts make them a lot lighter than some other bindings. LF also have a couple of different types of bindings that are also good for kiteing.

How much do you weigh, generaly a 134 board would be a bit to short for boots to get the most out of them, but still can be a lot of fun i have had mine on a 134 it was ok, but now have them on a 140 and there is a lot of difference. I have allso seen a couple of guys run them on a 132 lunacy which seemed ok.

Agreed with Chauv. The 134 is/was my personal favourite board last year but I used comp lace on them. Speed and ability to cut upwind is second to none IMO. We have a number of team riders who use the Synergy on the 134, and the heavier (80kgs+) & big feet guys found a bigger board a bit more forgiving.

The Synergy is by far much more comfy & supported than the Unions, but at $559 not many are prepared to spend that much. Saying that, top wakeboots are like $800+, so for the top kiteboots in the market, it is considerably cheaper in comparison. The 2010 Synergy comes in open toes as well as closed (closed $599, open $559). The new Union (U2 boots $579) has a facelift this year and is much more supported.

Boots/bindings is a very important piece of hardware as you are standing on them all the time you kite with your full body weight. You will be surprised how much more comfort and fun a well supported boot/straps/pads will give you. Last you want are cheap boots and you ache for days after each session.

The 2010 Influence or Kaos have been the most poopular choice for bindings users so far this year.

You can get 09 ronix boots for round about 320 online if you find the right place... They are the same as the 010.

just for looks i guess, i got the 09 ronix ones and they are by far the nicest boots i have ever worn, have tried shanes, watsons, drivers, pbfloyds, hyperlite 3ds, unions, escalades, and the weight and comfort of the ronix just blows the others outa the water. the OT synergies have a similar base plate as the ronix and weigh in around 750g which is super light also and comparable to the ronix range.

they look good, but i'm a bit dubious about mixing velcro with saltwater/sand

so hows the synergies feeling? having a look at them i was considering the OT version if i ddnt have those ronix simply because they are so low to the board... gona have to hit you up for a try soon

the U2 is actually a real nice and sturdy boot, comfy with good support. check them out too.. i rate them over synergies

use less duck mate.. its the amount of duck that ruins your knees... duck is a weird thing that kiters got obsessed with and take it over the top.. i only have about 9degree duck on my boots and my knees are holding up fine. been on boots for about 2 and a half yrs and only ****ed em when i broke a board on a loop
