kiting down south is pretty intense, Dunsborough only on a NW and its usually pretty ordinary. Other than that Id advise to wait till you are confident. Margs-Augusta has heaps of rocks, large swells and rips for your learner to get nailed in. Oh, also all the submerged tree branches in Augusta. If in doubt, ask a local kiter before heading out because there is usually some unforseen trick to the area.

The prob with that bay is that there would have to be a huge windshadow from the Southern limestone cliffs.......I remember swimming there when onshore and its pretty protected. If you have ever experienced the mamma barnacles on the rocks at North Point then you would understand why it would be a nerve wracking experience if you dropped your kite. Gusty conditions and wind shadows tend to help your kite drop. But if anyone does it, and its not too bad (and doesnt tear their A-holes open on the barnacles) let us know, luv the bay and would like to kite thier if possible.
