Is there anywhere in or near Mackay that is good for kiting.

And if there is, can you do it this time of year or will you die from some kind of stinger?

You can definately ride here. Did anyone see the KITEBOARDER issue with the write up of Mackay in it. This shows a place called BUCASIA Bch, great in Northerly winds, also Blacks Bch is good in both Nth and Sth aswell. All flat glassy water with stacks of wind. Beaches are all sand and easy setup locations, with showers and car parks.

When you guys come up, be sure to drop into the shop and say g'day, and if I can I wil come for a ride and show you some of the great areas around here.

When kiting up here, you need a stinger suit. These are available thru the shop for $45.
