Any issues with kiting at Marcoola beach re the airport etc at Marrochie? Anyone know?

if you time it perfect you can catch a little more air using the jet thrust. Be careful though, this bloke called eric wasnt as lucky when he hit up marcoola.

ill never forget the day i got sucked into that bastards wake turbulance... speaking of marcoola i flew over there today at 200ft taking photos of the boys kiting whilst I was on transit... saw nick tony and wiian but u wernt anywhere Dustin.

Echostorm, I tag along with Nick & Tony on my 16mtr for some fun. 12-15 knots not bad, tommorow's the call before expected showers for the weekend. Tony's putting the call out for tommorow around 2 or 3pm.

This week ive just been kiting the bays by myself, really good fun and the rocks just add to the adrenalin, dunno if theres enough room for more than one kiter though haha

Yes now come on is it okay or no? My sister lives on the beach there and I haven't actually kited it. I kind of think Virgin will be cool with it the jet engine boosting but Qantas might be a bit stiff on the rules?


Now seriously can you kite it okay, far enough from the airport?

dont forget to pick me up at kawana first skeggs.

had the sickest sesh today, kawana to caloundra downwinder perfectly powered it was sick. any of you guys get out? Oh yeh, also went out at kawana lake for a bit of adventure, gusty but fun.

Marcoola is fine to kite, sorry for the late reply

epic session this arvo at caloundra - SE 15-25 knots with heaps of good guys/girls out on the water to share the stoke

pity about the rain but at least the wind was good

Yeah, Marcoola is good - we normally pass by when doing a down winder from Yaroomba to Mudjimba.
Ben Wilson has been known to kite there every now and again.
