For sure .. nothing worse than a wind meter that you rely on going missing.

Unfortunately, a side effect of putting electronics in the weather is that occasionally they break. The Melville meter, in particular, was also wiped out a few times by wayward yacht booms in the past.

They are in the process of being repaired and hopefully back online sooner, rather than later...

seabreeze us here at kitethrills read the forecasts every day for our business of teaching and advising clients on kiting. we've been doing it for 11 years now and come to learn the models used by the various forecasters are not always correct. often they are very accurate but not always. sometimes one model works better than the other and then it swings back again. Even the big boss bureau of meteorology with all their resources have two different forecasts that are more than often not the same.

As a result Kitethrills takes the average of these, mixed with a bit of local gut feel, and tide data to advise where to kite and when we should schedule our lessons.

Every morning by 9:30am we post this tour our website so everyone can share our knowledge, judgement and effort to watch the weather.

If you're not sure where to go, get our second opinion.....
www.kitethrills.com

there are forecasts from seabreeze, two from the BOM, windguru, tide predictions, the pressure chart, and importantly our interpretation for the sunshine coast on that day.
