...Ain't what they used to be. Whatever happened to the legendary summer seabreeze? Its starting to annoy the hell out of me... I dont wait through an entire Melbourne winter just to get some sporadic summer action (girls and wind). I want consistency!

At least we have Daft Punk this week...

Yeah sunday was definately frontal... Im just referring to that classic seabreeze that comes in the afternoon, and builds up to about 20 knots, and is still cranking by the time its dark. Got twenty knots yesterday, and twenty expected today, so I guess its getting there!

hopefully all you eastern suburbs find another place to go, coz you are all starting to cause havoc over here! Why not stay over at Ricketts Point?

Let me think about this for a second, Rickett's Point, a narrow point with a exposed reef meters downwind, if something goes wrong you are drifting offshore, next stop Altona, the place is crowded with Pole boarders flying on a straight line, the place gets crowded with 4 kiters out there, compared to Altona with a 4km plus stretch of 1 foot deep flat water with carveable waves out the back, just go downwind and kite on your own line!! well i guess Altona wins. Altona can well and truly handle a crowd, Ricketts can't.

As for seabreezes check the forecast, looks like 6 out of the next 7, plus kited every day this week.

Ah now play nice. FYI i'm in North Melbourne so i'm half way between Altona & St.K. I'll take whatever is best on the day i finally manage to get out on the water. I've never been to Altona on a busy day, but i've survived St.K with 20+ kites in the air on numerous occasions.

Why can't we all just be polite, enjoy the session and have a couple of beers when the sessions over like the WA lads do (most of 'em).

look here you Easty kiters, i dont even fly bloody kites! Im a true poley and you all are coming here causing grief! One week a foreigner takes out the power lines then a young kid almost does, instead lands on a little house roof, gets told off by a guy who has been here for 7 years and not seen anything like this apart from recently. So if any of you have any probs come see me right and im sure we will and can sought this crap out!

BTW, this is purely a joke! Of course all are welcome on the western shores, however, lets all start being a little more self concious of the fact that this is starting to become an issue with the locals who live on the Esplanade, yes, like myself! So please lets stick together and try to keep this place a resource, not a luxury ok! If you are experience and you see someone who is struggling with knowledge dont be afraid to offer some advice and also, accept it if so ok
