I was lucky enough just last week, to see a bit of neighbourly goodwill gesture by a kite gardener

The wind was cross onshore - pumpin & gusting with someone at 12 o'clock right beside footpath and road... through no fault of his own (or was it ???) deadspot between gusts. Kite fell straight back & down across road, pruneing someones garden for them.... And he justs stands there

no safety releases, still attached to kite & roses across a road while some noobs drag kite back acrooss the road, he tries for a re-launch same spot, but lines had tangled luckily for him.

......Does anyone know what would have happened to him - if a car drove past !!!!
not to mention those retrieving the kite walking over the lines...
!!!!!RELEASE YOUR SAFETY's IF YOUR KITE DROPS OVER A ROADWAY!!!
Or you'll get shredded like Nightmare On Elms STREET [}:)]
................hmm if it wasnt Illegal we'd shoot the stupid ones wouldnt we...........

P.s Maybe we should care hook knives at all times - then when we see idiots about to bad rep the kiteing spots, run shouting I'll SAVE you & cut him loose

Are you a WAKSA member STW?

You should have taken a photo or done something................

It is because of idiots like...............too many to count, that someone has to front up to Council, DPI etc. and explain this crap.

Writing funny stories with smiley faces and stuff on this forum is good and all, but real kiters do something to keep our beaches open.

I would have knifed him, but my hook knife wasnt wide enough .

Not a member dont have a camera - just a goodwill kiter.

Like i said, there were people helping him, and i recomended he walk his Dumbarse way out into the water for a safe relaunch (windspeed bout 28 gusts 35).

I have also seen experienced massive boosting trick kiters do stupid things in the launch areas nearly taking passers by out (showing off).

The days free kiteing are numbered due to 'Human stupid Nature' wether we like it or not.

Just like boating - they now need a licence cause of human stupid nature.

Maybe it would help if kiters had to have a registered number on there kite so the idiots could be reported or photograhed .

I find just living is 'risk management' - most of the time.
