Been looking at a second-hand 2006 Misfit 136 board going for a good price and wanted some input from anyone whose had/got one. I'm 85kg and will be riding both flatwater and in the sea on the Sunny Coast. I believe it's got a width of 40cm.

I started out on a Cabrinha Vari Pro 138 and found this a bit stiff. I've also got a homemade plywood board based on a 141 Nobile 666 which works great on flat water and in light wind conditions and goes upwind really well, but I'm now looking for something a bit more aggressive with good pop capabilities.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had one of these boards , unfortuniatly it was stolen.
But here's to say they are a great board and in there element on flat water , not alot of rocker and not so great for heavy chop in the ocean , but you can put bigger fins on it if this is your thing.
it is so cool to move around on the water and is the fastest board I've riden as far as manoverabilty goes with it , you can switch with little to no effort.
It is a good upwind board and edges well.
Basically it is a wicked board mate and you won't be dissappointed , given that you ride flat water as well. Enjoy

Cheers Flux - gonna check it out today and make up my mind. 380bucks seems like a good deal.

Hey man, misfit always looked like a good board to me. should have plenty of pop and be a good freestyle board - sounds like you are progressing well.... when you going to join us for a downwinder.

I also had one and now ride the 07. Great board, good for pop and flat water where it really excells. I also ride in a fairly choppy area and it's not too bad in the chop either. If you like unhooked riding you will not be disappointed.

I weigh around 90kg on a good day (uaually more) and with a 13m Fuel I get up and going comfortably in 15 knots due to 40cm width, wide tips and flat bottom.

Hey dude, Long time - gotta sell my CO2 to fund the board. Was gonna get a new cardboard, but 850bucks is hard to part with at the mo. Been doing the lake alot recently just getting as much TOW as possible - gotta perfect a few moves before getting back into the downwinders.

Read on a website somewhere that the 06 misfit has a single concave. Is this not correct?
