Does anyone know how the kiting would be over at Tangalooma, or if while staying at tangalooma is the option of travelling to the surf side viable???

I got in trouble by the rangers last time i was there. not sure if it's officially a rule or not but the rangers don't let you do it. and there's heaps of sharks

Tarrik you can only ride there on a Southerly or Northerly... and it's a pretty dicey launch and land...
I've windsurfed there a few years ago and it was fantastic, LOTS of wildlife in the water though...

Saw a few dugongs and biiiiiig rays but no sharks... There are plenty though

I surfed there a lot in the late 80's and early 90's there are some great spots, kited 2 years ago just down the main beach from cape morton in a north easter Cross shore in the waves. Great session But as aready said back when I used to surf there I have seen a lot of Sharks and some big ones toooo. about 1 in 5 surfs we would leave the water because of SHARKS. When Yellow patch is working its one of the longest rights on the east coast!!!Needs big south east swell same as Noosa but No crowds.

yellow patch could be great, has a huge launch area, a lagoon on high tide and crystal waters but a bit of a hike from tangas if you dont have a truck.
