Actually...

We dont have flies in SE QLD, nor do we have 'frogs' although we do get ugly tourists from Victoria who could be considered flies!?!? Annoying, grow up living in a town that smells of sewage, and love the taste of fresh poo (the content of the water in Port Phillip Bay). But hey... I'd trade for all the toads in the world and all the retards in QLD to continue living near bikini surfie chicks, aqua blue warm water, consistent winds, white beaches, and boardies in winter... but thats just me.

Oh and Melbourne vs SE QLD Weather... dont even go there, you know you will get shot down... "Melbourne 15 one day 40 the next."

There is a chance I might have an opportunity to move to Australia, to either Brisbane or Melbourne. And since I'm addicted to kiteboarding I figured that would base my decision on where the best kiting would be. Anyone have some comments and what the best choice would be, for wind and overall living conditions.

Anyone notice that in 2 pages of posts 5mmKiter hasn't said a thing !!!!!!

That'd be right

Stirr up a Hornets Nest between the States and **** Off.

HaHa ! Nice one 5mm lmao

By the Way, the ONLY place to kite - Sunshine Coast Q [}:)]

Melbourne might average out with more wind but I think its more expensive to live in and overall the weather is actually less consistent. It's always alot colder, rainy and hot in one day. Some people say Melbourne is 4 seasons in one day.

Brisbane gives you access to the Gold Coast - Sunshine Coast our weather is much more consistent.

If you could pick the Sunshine Coast (1.2 hours north) you would be very happy.

I have lived in Qld, Vic AND WA. For kiting, WA, NO COMPARISON anyone arguing this either doesn't know what the other places are ACTUALLY like. If you like a 'bustling big city' definately go Melbourne. Qld is awesome in it's own way too though, good vibe, but really spread out. Some AWESOME roads for running on a roadbike close-by if you're into that (Mt. Glorious).
