Stay rural.Yeah there is a good crew up the Goldie but I bet you will miss the un-crowded kiteing paradise around you now and some of the spots a short drive away.
I grew up on the gold coast,good party life but is getting more like sydney every year.
Traffic,crowds,parking,rent,idiots aaarrrraaaahhhhhhhhhh.
I still go up there to visit mates and family,but after a day or two cant wait to get down to my local area with next to no one on the beach ,allowed my dog on the beach,have a fire on the beach to warm up in winter after session,ect.
On the goldie you arent allowed to fart without council permission.
One good thing about living in a concrete jungle though is that "ring a drink" and eagle boys can deliver beers a pizza to you on the beach after a 3 hour session.now thats gold
So why the move?Its gotta be either work or a women making you

The is a couple good spots on the Goldie, but as lotofwind was saying it is getting more busy and is definitely looking alot more like Sydney than previous years.
There is also alot more kiters on the Gold Coast than ever before !!

I have never tried giving eagle boys a call but that is a great idea so might have to give it a go .

yeah they will do it as long as you pay for it first over the phone useing a visa card,same with ring a drink.I did it at narrow neck.Its pretty cool getting out of the water all hungry and thirsty and having them drop beer and pizza to you as you are packing up and chatting to the crew.
kinda funny though how some kiters wont give you a smile and wave out on the water,but soon as your on dry land with beer and pizza they are suddenly your best mate.
