Just a warning that there are cobblers hanging around mullaz at the moment. Got stung today and it still hurts! good sesh but!
I think I stood on one earlier in the day but managed not to get stung but the second time not so lucky! bit of weed around also which I think they like. BTW thats my snapped rusty surfboard left there, I could not be bothered putting it in the car.

Get yourself a wheat filled heat pack.

Also you can get air activated heat packs which you can wear inside of work boots as well

They hurt like a bastard, yeah hot water is the best thing the hotter the better just don't burn yourself the relief can make your brain forget that the water is too hot. I heard that the cobbler venom reacts to the hot water and "cooks like an egg" so to speak and allows it to get broken down by the body , might be total BS but it does work, takes about 4-5 hours for the pain to go..............

Go and purchase some tiger balm, that will sort things out in no time. Instant change!

This isn't BS...the proteins in the poison 'cook' in the hot water as you've suggested. Personal experience on this one - stung like a mofo. Have to admit it was the worst pain I've ever experienced...one or two good pain killers also helped pass the time.....

Small tip, instead of walking in the water drag your feet. I always do this when there is alot of weed about. You feel them and they will move away when you touch them from the side. Ive never steped on one doing this.

Hope this helps in the future

Sorry captain green thumbs! A little too sore to retrive the board that I snapped earlier on in the session. I barely made it to the car with the board I had, kite, pump bar etc (also I was well down wind when I was stung) I will collect a few pieces (as I usually do) next time. Im sure some grom will be stoked though. My good board got a little smashed up when I dropped it when I got to the car also.
