NKL Event Format:
There are five components to each NKL Round, with several new additions making it an action packed program in 2016/17.
NEW: NKL Coaching Clinic with Dan Sweeney Coaching held each Thursday prior to the NKL start on Friday. Bookings are essential. Small classes and great value with this champion kiteboarder. Check out Dan’s website for more details www.dscoaching.com.au
NEW: Seminars – Saturday only. Topics covered will include ‘What is Kiteboarding’ and ‘How to get a Sponsor and maintain one. Speakers will be invited to present these free seminars. All welcome to attend on the Saturday of the event, commencing at 10.30am.
Have A Go Free kiteboarding lessons on the beach with experienced kiteboarding instructors. A huge hit in the first year of the NKL – we are excited to be offering a bigger and better Have a Go program this year! Saturdays and Sundays only from 11am Eastcoast and 12 noon in N.Z. and PERTH
Freestyle Competition The main game – enter the NKL and compete against your fellow riders, plus this year, enter any NKL State Round to boost your points and get your skills up.
BIG AIR Competition BIG AIR is back! This year, the CABRINHA BIG AIR Competition will have its own entry category and be a signature event of the NKL. Held on Saturdays and Sundays of each NKL Round, with a huge finale at the national Grand Final. $50 Entry - limited numbers be quick!
