I thought North had no need of a bow style kite now they have the Vegas 06 sussed with 95% de-power anyway.

Night night bow kites.

I saw them up at Lancelin a few weeks back flying a 12m in 30+ knots.

Can't really provide much info on it as I didn't really chat with the guys for too long, but it certainly looked impressive in that kind of wind. They could just stand on the beach with it depowered and it just sat at 12 o'clock.

The guys riding seemed relaxed and in control when out on the water and were pretty pleased with it!

Are you talking about the Vegas or did you see them testing a bow style kite.

The Vegas is great, but in my views it will only appeal to a very narrow segment. I think Ken relied too much on the input and requirements of pro riders. Unfortunately these requirements do not apply to the large majority of riders.

As a result I believe that North realised that they are missing out on a very large share of the cake if they only stick to the Vegas....

At the end of the day, it's about the bottom line and the associated volume. These guys are in business and not a pro bono company or charity. They will do everything to get more market share...

I believe North have the rights to build a bow kite and were going to depending on the success of the 06 Vegas.

But I am led to believe they will not now because the Vegas is now there answer to a bow kite without all the complications of a bridle system, you just have to read their website they would truly be shooting themselves in the foot if they did.

Although stranger things happened.

Vegas06 does not depower 95% on the fly like a bow kite can.
Unless you are talking about pinging it to the 5th/leash?
