I'll be staying at Crescent heads for a couple of weeks with family. (in 1 weeks time). Looks like a well-known surf spot. Anyone know if it is kiteable? Can I expect any wind at this time of year? If it's no good I hear that Macquaire to the south and Coffs harbour to the north are good.

Any other tips for that area?

Cheers,
Dave

South West Rocks near the Gaol looks very good in a NE (usual afternoon sea breeze).

In a southerly the big beach south of Smokey Cape Lighthouse.

Near Coffs, Sawtell is good in a southerly

You will probably find Cresent head is fine though. You should get 4 days of wind at least/week unless it is rainy. Watch out for thunderstorms

Thanks for the info Mike. I'm a bit lazy, so I do hope I can get out at Crescent. If NE is the prevailing summer breeze then it should be perfect (by my standards that is - I live in Sweden ).

Dave
