can anyone tell if you can fly this kite 4 line?, not 5 as sold , also how fast is it???

Yes it'll fly, but not well. It needs the fifth line to be under tension to hold it's canopy shape just like the Torch.
Also, without the fifth line what were you planning to use as a safety or flagout?
How fast are they? Not very fast but not slow.

Actually the Alliance flies much better on only 4 lines..
Use it with a normal 1:1 bar set, not the Naish 5th line shift system.. Something about that weird middle line that splits into a V and connects to the front of the kite makes the kite behave weird.. I've flown my other kites on this bar setup and had the same outcome..
Once on a normal bar set, it works as good as the Helix..
Landing the Alliance in strong winds (25 knots) was the only problem I had.. Best way is to connect to the flagging line and act as if it's a C kite...
Otherwise, give it a go... I was shocked at how good it did away from the intended setup..
