Mate, on the gold Coast you have more chance of fertilizing a sperm whale or catching a drop bear on video than to get consistant wind at the moment, check further north maybe Bundaberg or Mackay or the croc spots up further. Good luck

You might as well start looking for a place at Cairns.
I am going there for kiting next month but in anticipation I have been watching the wind charts for Green Island which is off the coast and in the last month the winds have been really consistant. The last week was a bit of a dud but right now it is back up to normal with 25 to 30 knots with the gusts sitting at only 2 to 4 knots over the average. They even have a new cable park that just opened for the rare day of low wind. Or you can just go Scuba in the Barrier Reef. Can't beat that.
