Hi all,
I have decided to get a new board for next season and I have chosen the Underground FLX my partner has on already (2005) and I really like the board.
I currently have a Slingshot SX 132 and weigh 56kg, I ride mainly a 9m crossbow and am in my opinion an intermediate rider (no worries upwind, small jumps etc)
The reason for a new board is that I think the one I have is a little large for the winder days as I tend to skip quite a bit when trying to hold my edge, plus I learnt on this board and can get up and going in about 14 knots on the 9m in one dive!
The question is what size a 122 or 128, my thought is the 122 but this is a big jump...
Let me know what you think

Dude, at 56kgs your pretty light.
Id go smaller - 122. Im about 70kgs and ride an SS misfit 122 and its ticketyboo, no problems as an all rounder - itll take a little getting used to, but its lighter and more fun for sure.

Your best bet is to try them first.
Other than that I would say that the 128 would get you planing in the same wind as your current 132 due to its squarer outline and wider tips.
At your weight the 122cm wont be a problem for you after the first couple of sessions as long as you realise you will need a couple of more knots to get going than on your current board.

Hey Snowman
I'm 154cm tall (short), 56kg, have SS TD 10 as main use kite & started Sept '05.
Underground FLX128 is perfect for me now from around 14kts.
I used hubby's FLX132 recently in around 12kts & was great but I'm happier hanging on in 30kts (light wind = kite skills I don't have).
I'm looking to go FLX122 end of next season. I'd get that sinking feeling if I had a FLX122 now.
