Hope the wind is good, this weekend in Safety bay.

Organised the RnD crew, Managing, Marketing and Warehouse people person to attend the event.
All hands will be on deck to pump a few kites for you to demo.

Rock over, say gidday and test ride a pre rigged kite.

It's a competition, not a NEW demo day.

Hi all,

The WAKSA committee has decided to postpone the event until the following Saturday on the 8th of December.

The forecast is once again not favourable, and we would prefer to wait another week for the front to pass, where we can hopefully score a proper summers day with a normal sea breeze.

See you all there on the 8th!

Just because there is wind does not mean that the conditions are ideal for an pre-defined event.....it ain't call Kitejam for nudding.....it is about having fun in the sun, with tunes, good food and a nice show for all. It really is wave weather.........cold and westerly.........wettie weather is not jammin weather me thinks.

What a waste of time, your right Mitch, they will wait till the 8th and get no wind. Why wouldn't you have a comp when there is wind?? Personally I don't care, I'll be chasing waves at a different location anyhow. At this rate there will be no events on the WAKSA calendar this year carried out...

Postponement ???
lol.
That's a strange call.
Never ignore good wind at your finger-tips.....
only to hope and pray for 'better' conditions one week later to the day.
The windgods don't take too kindly to greed.
Here's your opportunity, grab it with both hands, man.

Not much fun kiting in the rain (www.bom.gov.au/wa/forecasts/perth.shtml) and even less fun for those who have to setup and run the event.

not fun kiting in rain.... HARDEN THE F**K up AUSTRALIA....

kiting in the rain is something different, try it once u might actually like it..

Look at PKRA and other events... do they cancel when its over cast or choppy or gusty? NO THEY DONT... riding in less than ideal conditions is excellent as it shows how well riders can cope with having to compensate for gusts and rain

lol.
What's the matter, are you worried about getting your kite wet ?
Check the map.
If it's going to rain, friday looks like the day.
A high is ridging in on saturday, that usually means fine weather.
Good luck.

Read the full quote Slave and don't make selective responses!

People have to organise and run the event too, why should they have to work through unfavourable conditions when there is the opportunity to run the event on another day?

Does anyone in the WAKSA committee know how to read a weather map ?
Are you dudes familiar with frontal conditions that occur during a Western Australian summer ?
Fronts do happen of course,
but they are usually short-lived, most slip under the Cape.

Don't panic.

Sounds like Lance has gone and organised kitejam before WAKSA sanctioned it (could be wrong). Know they are on board they call the shots. No wonder when you try to get a little social group going in your local area WAKSA committee members start contacting you by PM's saying we don't want to end up like SEQLD, do everything through WAKSA. Harden up it's kitesurfing not a god damn fashion parade, you need wind, take it while it's there.

Bite me!! as tone would say
