Well, it's a dream come true...
It was 1997 when I drove up the (then) limestone track at Woodman Point for a session, and first thought "
I wonder if I could get a wind reading from here available at home to save me driving all this way for no wind?"
I saw that there was a wind cup on the Cockburn Cement building, and the crew there took me to have a look at it, and it was an old analog unit with a guage on the wall.
After many stop/starts, and life generally getting in the way, the day has now finally arrived where there is now a brand new wind meter installed on the top of the Cockburn Cement building at Woodie Point, and graphed here on Seabreeze.com.au
It's still being tested/validated - if you want to have a squiz, there's a test page available.
All looking good, but some directions might be a bit out of whack because of the building - we're looking at getting a longer pole.
Big shout out to Stewie & Roy at CC for all their help and support in getting this meter happening!
Woot!
