There is nothing new about this where i live .Basically if you want to kitesurf you need to be able to endure what seems to be endless frustrations. When you look at the averages you see that suitable winds are actually quite rare .
i spose thats why its the same old faces except for 3 weeks in Jan when the wind blows consistently from a "nooby friendly " direction

Puffy, I share your pain. I got a new switchblade last week, and dying to get out on it.
What have we done wrong? Even the 7 day forecast doesn't look either.

Puffy,

I think we spoke to soon. Tomorrow has gone from one green arrow to 6. Looks like we might atleast get one good kite in this week. Goodluck, and keep praying for wind.

Hey Guys,

This is totally normal. In my last 26 years in wind sports I have postulated a theory that explains much of this occurence.

The Amount of windless days is directly proportional to the number of dollars you spend. There is also a multiplier that comes into the equation. When your partner/kids go away for a holiday to visit rellies, the number of windless days is multiplied by a factor of 2.

Consequently, if you win lotto and buy one of every kite size of your choice of kite, several boards, new pants to go over your wetty, a shiny new harness and a new car to gocarry it all to the beach, you will be murdered by the riders in your location as there will be no wind for a year.

Good winds,
