Looking at the forecast I get very very excited since it seems we will finally get some decent wind!! I don't mind riding waves in cottesloe, brighton or whatever with onshore winds but what are the alteratives?
**** the alternatives, how often do you get to just chill right on the back line for kilometres up and down all day! Never too far out to worry about gear breakage and swimmage, cheap barrels if you work them right, I reckon I'll be at all of the above as soon as I can move and the wind picks up. I think I'll get the 4/3 full length wettie out of mothballs for it though.
Hey Dave, I think Warnbro (south side near golf course & nudie beach) would be worth a try today (Sunday) with that NWerly - pretty flat protected area, circular beach, fairly shallow fairly safe. Just watch you dont end up with the wind directly onshore.
Pyramid/Miami/Florida Beaches just south and north of the Dawesville cut also work in a NWer with a bit of reef protection to keep the waves spaced nicely apart and the chop down.
Haha yeah that was me hosko. Not a too bad session, considering I came home 9 this morning highly intoxicated and without any food before the session (who needs food when you got 20 bottles of malt and 10 glasses of milk/vodka in your body)..
Wind directly onshore is not a problem, grew up on that **** you know!!
