I reckon i've wrecked my ronix boots by putting them on with sandy (coarse) feet. They don't seem to drain very well anymore and the extra weight in the boots certainly doesn't help when unhooking. I took them apart but still didn't mangage to get rid of all the sand as the drainage channels are very narrow and there's no actual way to flush it out of the sole of the boot. Is this a common problem? Or does everyone dunk their feet before they slip their boots on to prevent sand entering the boot?

seriously considering buying anther set, as it's not fun kiting in soggy gumboots.

cheers

just chuck the hose on full pressure down the holes.
my 2012 ones have the holes directly onto the board face from under my heel.
im always sandy, but i do find my boots dont drain well anyway i reckon due to heat moulding closing the holes up.
my fix is to wear my boots firm enough that there isnt room for much of a pool with my foot inside. loose boots are not cool haha

the amount of water running down your legs is probably more than the holes can flow anyway

Yeah thats it, get a high pressure hose into them and it will sort it. If my feet or boots are mega sandy i body drag into the deep and then chuck them on out there. That way you can give them a shake to get the crap out. Plus its probs safer anyway, cos your not fiddling with your boots sitting on the beach in the danger zone.
