Hey y'all,

I was planning on running a novice to intermediate kiter clinic for the guys in Sydney in November sometime. Thought I would get an idea of if anyone would be interested, then I could start making plans.

Course content will be pretty much similar to the previous succssful kitegirls clinic I ran earlier this year.

Thanks

Thats an Awesome Idea.

I would try to make it if I'm not having my exams at the time.

Gr8 idea, I know quite a few people who would be interested as well.......try and make it so it doesn't run at the same time as Mambo! Lets just hope the wind is kind cause we're not as lucky as you guys in WA!!!

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for the feedback. There seems to be a reasonable amount of interest in the clinic so I will probably try and sort something out.

The current course is 5-6 days and is usually done in a full week. Seeing as Mambo and other things are on in November like exams and stuff, I thought a two weekend course with a Friday or Monday on one or both weekend would do the trick nicely.

If this suits everyone, I'll start doing some planning and get it up and happening.

Running a course at the same time as Mambo would be sacralidge and a good way to fail the course. Besides, I'll be at Mambo!

Thanks again everyone, please stay tuned for updates or let me know of your thoughts.

best winds,

G'day Darren
I assume you will run it before or after the IKO ITC?
Either way you can use my facilities, the boat can be made available for advanced lessons during the clinic.
You can use the sliders too if you want.
We also have a permit from the council and Waterways that will allow you to do the clinic legally, give me a call sometime and we can discuss how to make it happen.

I think it is a great idea, and something people round here will be interested in for sure, in fact I reackon you will get so much demand you will be turning people away!

Hey Ben,

I dont think that what we cover in the Kite Clinic would be very applicable to the learning of basics as we are only accepting people who already have the basics and want to improve their abilities and learn tricks.

However, I would think you might be able to help with the running of lessons with Kitepower. Perhaps Steve could take you on and give you some training for your assistant instructors certification. I would gladly help you out in my own school in Perth, but it's a bit far to get to and from work :)

There will be other courses throughout the year and other schools around which will also be able to help you out. If you speak to me just before the courses, I may have thought of a way in which you can help out and gain some experience by then.

Keep up the enthusiasm and enjoy your kiting!
