At the end of the clip,kiter was saying after the chap looking over him say's..."man I think both your leg,s and your ribs are broken,and you have a nasty ding in your head",kiter was saying"Check my kite,has it been torn,are any lines cut,are there any kite repairer,s in this town,did someone get my board of the rocks,.... (to be hoped he recoverd quickly)

is it just me, or was he jumping a bit too close to the large pile of pointy rocks on the shoreline??

Older C kite, 2 line I think, they were death machines, and he did come too close to the rocks, but there were cameras pointing at him and lots of people, so he thought it would be OK!!

There is a Quadrifoil 4 line foil kitesurfing bag of crap in the background that video is at least 6-7 years old.

I'll bet there is lots of footage like that around!

yeah, that footage is ancient, who would unhook to do 2 dingle dangle fowards at a pro event these days!! (or hold the bar at the tips for that matter) I think the 4 seconds on the rocks should have been enough to pull a safety, thing is I doubt he had one. none of the pros in the 2000 mags I have seem to have any safety at all.

No wonder kiting got a name as a dangerous sport early on.

I reckon he looked a bit kooky setting up for his trick. Stuffed it up but did'nt want to give it up even if he could, tried to fly out of it and whamo
