I've got a mate from the US who is coming to oz (Melb) early May for work and will have a week off to go kiting. He's asked me where he should go. I'm pretty familiar with SA/Perth (the worst months for the sport) but not the rest of Oz. Anyone have any suggestions?

FWIW Melb is pretty s*it then too...getting cold & dark early etc etc

Looking to head up east coast northern NSW or Qld end May myself.

The NW of WA is great at this time of year, plenty of wind and flat water. I think Choicy runs trips up to Shark Bay etc at this time.
