Hey,

I have recently upgraded to an Ozone Edge (been great so far!). I wanted to put a longer depower line (6mm amsteel or covered spectra) on for racing so in my haste I pulled the stock depower line out of the plastic tubing but for the life of me cant get the original or new line back through the PVC tubing.

Has anyone attempted to do the same/ any ideas how to thread the 6mm rope back through?? (Ive tried pulling it through with whipping twine but the tubing just seems to be to small now)

Thanks in advance!

Maybe heat the tube up in boiling water, might make it stretch and allow you to get the line through it. Some tubing though has a habit of shrinking with age and light, might need to replace that as well.

Spray the line with silicon not too much and then heat the tube in hot water and pull it through with a bit of fine spectra stunt kite line, all available at Kp :-)

Dental floss works perfectly and is cheap. Tie it around your line, thread it through the tubing and pull your line through.

Well the heating the tube and the whipping twine worked ...enough to get it half way but now its stuck again so I think ill grab some silicon spray and try again tomoz.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Good advise from Morandi.

Tie or splice flying line to the spectra then thread the flying through the tube and pull.
I did it few times to make bar prototype and sometimes you have to hand yourself on it to pull the spectra through.

Silicone or soap can be tricky as they make your hands slide as well along the tube and you can not pull it.

Good luck.
