We are going to build a pvc slider this weekend so we can learn the rail..
We are going to make it about 700mm above the water level ..For the construction will be from 100mm sewage pvc pipe about 5m long with three uprights(legs) spaced out with 600mm overhang on ends,that will have a tapered end so the can be driven about 400mm into the sand, in water about 300mm deep..To attach the legs inspection t piece used with the straight top section cut into like a cup style so we can run the full lengthpipe through..all glued up and screwed together..

So what i need is some advice if its heading the right way. or u experence in length height build etc..

I have seen other sliders in wakeboarding that are similar, but the PVC pipe is only used as a frame and a piece of the new age decking that is a plastic composite mixed with timber is used as the actual slider top. This makes your board slide better than the PVC as it can stick once sliding and heat is generated between your board and slider. The decking is available at all hardware stores and comes in big lengths, i think a bit over 6 m. Your frame will be good, but dont cut you legs until you get to the site and try to drive them in, i did that and found they were too short. Have fun with it.
