What sign????
Pelican is not a good learning area ie a good place to learn to fly a kite, the trees are very hungry and theres no room for fkups, but once proficient at flying kite its a good spot to develop and tweak skills and is good prep for the ocean, but is dirty water, theres always weed and its got me fked why anyone skilled would kite there if not purely for convenience.
It does **** me that the guys who percieve that they are "killing it" have to do it right near the beach right in front of a three deep crowd and their honkin missus juggling a dart a camera and a pitbull, right where people are trying to walk out and get going, you are not the fonz.
Say it with a smile and it generaly gets done (essentially everyones there for good times, not domestics), get aggro and no one gives a sh!t about your rant, many noobs/semi experienced just need a little direction and within a week or two they might even help out someone else with the same info (ive been through this exact experience and it works) If theres no sign and no one has told them what not to do, and they havent had the unwritted rules "verbally abused" into them yet, and you just cruise past giving evils and getting pissed off till they crash a kite and you explode, then you are the problem.
Keep the waves friendly kids
