im 90 kg and have the element aursome board great for all conditions i ride with boots but the new l/f straps would have to be the best on the market comfey and feel for the board, imho l/f make the best boards, still trying to get rid of 05 jamie pro seems i dont ride it now i have the element.hope this helps
When over east got to see some big guys riding the new LF WLF, 140 x 47cm, the feed back from the big guys was awesome, the width gets them up and going, and when powered and edging just like riding a nice small board.
These boards are deffinately worth a look (hot looking graphics as well)
does anyone know how they compare to the stonker light wind board? after reading the marketing gumpf on both these boards, it seems the WLF is targeted at heavier riders in general conditions, wheras the stonker lightwind is really just for lightwind, even for heavier riders???
I think it sounds like you haven't even given the Airush board range a look in. Airush is Australias biggest selling board brand. For a guy such as yourself, I would suggest taking a look at the Switch 142 or even the Exile.
You can find them at www.airush.com Looking is free and knowledge is power. Feedback from all riders on these boards has all been positive.
Thanks for the feedback guys. As they say so many toys so little time. Am leaning towards Liquid Force WLF 140x47 and Underground 142, after playing with both.
yea am looking to get a board as well and i am 95kg
tell me more about the wlf and 142flx test, what were they like. I am 95kg and have looked at both of those boards although have not had the chance to ride the WLF. I did have a 132 drop ltd for a couple of days before loosing it. It wasw nice but for me the 142flx was nicer- more positive and cut through chop a lot better. you porbably can not go wrong with the 142. I am wondering what it would be like in 20 knots with some big usts coming through? The drop was nice though and i think would have been really nice in the surf or glass conditions.
I'm 100Kg and ride a Airush Switch 142 in 95% of Sydney winds. It's 40.5 wide and a great all-rounder. I use it as my light/med wind board in 13 - 20 kts but it will be quite happy in 25 Kts+. Couldn't praise it highly enough, pops, turns, hammers upwind feels small but gets you going early etc Only downside is it's a bit uncomfortable in real close heavy chop. 142 is good for tall guys too.
